Frequently Asked Questions
How does Storm catch cheaters?
Server-side checks (movement distance, damage, weapons, entities, explosions) plus client sensors. Every detection is either Live or Soft. Live detections are verified by the server and apply the action you pick in the panel (Ban, Kick, Screenshot or Log). Soft detections are weaker signals for staff review: they ship as Screenshot and only ban if you choose Ban for them.
Will it ban innocent players?
Storm is built to avoid that. Soft detections ship as Screenshot, garages, hospitals and admin teleports are skipped with join grace and safe zones, and new detections start in shadow mode, where the panel only shows what would have happened. If a ban is still wrong, you can unban in one click from the panel or Discord, and players can send an appeal.
Will Storm slow down my server?
No. Checks run on intervals with cooldowns, and screenshots are captured in memory with screenshot-basic. Nothing is written to disk.
Is it easy to install?
Drop the resource in, ensure screenshot-basic, and set storm_api_url and storm_license_key in server.cfg. No database or SQL import is needed. The Download page in the panel shows the exact lines to copy.
Does it work with my scripts?
Yes. It supports QBCore and Qbox, trusts ox_inventory and other resources you mark as safe, and has an Addon Center for private Lua modules. Optional event protection (TokenIV) is available for your own shop and job scripts. It is off by default and you turn it on per event.

Can my staff use the panel?
Yes. Invite staff members and choose exactly what each one can do: watch live players, kick and ban, manage the ban list, edit detections, webhooks and more. Every action is written to the audit log, and accounts can be protected with 2-step sign-in.
